Hi!
Hi Hedayat,
I talked with Tom Spot Callaway about Farsiweb fonts, and his answer
was:
"....
The topic of FarsiWeb fonts has come up before, I dug some of the
relevant discussion points out of my archives, but the short answer is
that because the copyright on the original fonts is not clear, it is not
acceptable for Fedora.
....
"
Last time this was discussed Spot didn't have such a clear-cut position
(but then it was discussed with Roozbeh Pournader, who has some upstream
involvement you lack). Since Spot is fed up with FarsiWeb, I guess we
should just drop it from the wishlist to avoid re-opening the subject
later. I suppose Roozbeh would be the only person with the karma to push
those fonts in Fedora nowadays.
Should I move the page
(
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Farsiweb_fonts)
to "Rejected and retired fonts" category?
Please do. Thanks
Regards,
