https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693531
Summary: ibus notification icon always visible in GNOME Panel,
even when it makes no sense
Product: Fedora
Version: 15
Platform: Unspecified
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: unspecified
Component: ibus
AssignedTo: tfujiwar(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: awilliam(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: tfujiwar(a)redhat.com,
i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
shawn.p.huang(a)gmail.com
Classification: Fedora
Story Points: ---
In F15 Beta TC1, the ibus notification area icon/applet is always present in
GNOME Panel (fallback mode), even when the keyboard layout chosen during
installation was United Kingdom and I have no keyboard layouts or input methods
which would make ibus at all useful installed or enabled. It probably shouldn't
appear unless you have at least one input method installed/enabled?

Good idea, I'll move it to -devel when importing the new package.
Thanks for the review!

I was about to submit bugreport about this. I guess i'm not the only one who
gets irritated by this problem, which, by the way, not new but stamps from
Gnome 2.
My vote for solving this...
