[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 875285] New: IME names far too long in gnome-shell Input Sources indicator
by Red Hat Bugzilla

Classification: Fedora

Type: Bug
Documentation: ---
Hardware: Unspecified
Mount Type: ---
Status: NEW
Component: ibus-typing-booster
Product: Fedora
Description of problem:
ibus-typing-booster IMEs' names seem to be too long/wide.
Can something please be done to make them shorter.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. add a hunspell input table
2. turn it on
Actual results:
eg for Danish appears at "da-DK(hunspell)".
Expected results:
First there should obviously be a space before the "(".
But anyway "da-DK(hunspell)". There is only one da dictionary
so DK is perhaps redundant and need not be displayed,
alternatively maybe keep "-DK" and drop "(hunspell)"?
(but that makes it hard to find the IME, hmm).
So maybe "da (hunspell)" would be better though it is
still too long really. Maybe GNOME Shell should truncate
overlong names intelligently instead.

Description of problem:
After installing and removing the empathy package on my KDE-only system,
various dependencies are left around.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.1.31-4.fc17
How reproducible:
always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install and enable yum-plugin-remove-with-leaves
2. install e. g. empathy on your system
3. remove it again using "yum remove --with-leaves empathy"
Actual results:
Various packages that were installed by yum to satisfy empathy's dependencies
are left around. In my case, these were json-glib, libsocialweb,
libsocialweb-keys, rest.
Expected results:
All dependencies that were installed because of empathy should be removed
again.
Additional info:
I filed this bug against yum because there's no component to chose for this yum
plugin.
Yum installed the following 36 packages as dependencies when I installed
empathy. Except for the 4 packages mentioned earlier, they were all removed
again.

[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 912592] New: ibus-m17n should use default keyboard in most cases
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=912592
Bug ID: 912592
Summary: ibus-m17n should use default keyboard in most cases
Product: Fedora
Version: 18
Component: ibus-m17n
Severity: unspecified
Priority: unspecified
Reporter: mfabian(a)redhat.com
Version: ibus-m17n-1.3.4-6.fc18
Most ibus-m17n engines currently switch to US keyboard layout when
selected.
This is not nice for most engines. For example, when using latn-post,
latn-pre, da-post, .... there is no need to switch to the US keyboard
layout. One can use these with any keyboard layout one likes.
For example, maybe I use the German keyboard layout because I mainly
type German but want to use latn-post, da-post, ... to input other
European languages like Danish, I do not want to switch to the US
Keyboard layout when selecting such an input method, they work just
fine with the German keyboard layout already selected.
Therefore, most ibus-m17n engines should not switch the keyboard layout
at all when selected.
This is similar to bug#910959.

Description of problem:
I have converted the Liberation fonts from ttf to native RISC OS format.
Technically this is a modified version of the font.
As per the licence I am asking for explicit permission to keep the font name as
Liberation.
The font will not be charged for etc. as per licence requirements, and the
licence will be included in the distribution.
