--- Comment #3 from Mike FABIAN <mfabian(a)redhat.com> ---
(In reply to fujiwara from comment #1)
I cannot reproduce any timing issue.
Did you get the latest Fedora 22?
Probably you could run 'dnf distro-sync' to get the latest desktop.
I found GTK3 application does not enable IMEs on wayland and I fixed it
locally.
Are you able to test the following ibus-gtk3?
https://fujiwara.fedorapeople.org/ibus/20150424/9556321/
It works fine for me with these updates (Without these updates,
ibus did not work for me in Gnome Wayland on Fedora 22 Beta after
installing all updates with “sudo dnf update”)
But with Fujiwara San’s updates everything seems fine.
Switching works both with Super+Space and with Alt+Shift
(Alt+Shift switching has to be enabled in gnome-control-center first,
as the gnome-control-center currently crashes in Gnome Wayland
on F22 Beta, one can start Gnome without wayland, do the configuration
in the gnome-control-center) and then come back to Gnome Wayland.
I tested with these keyboard layouts and input methods:
[mfabian@Fedora-Live-Workstation-x86_64-2 ~]$ dconf dump
/org/gnome/desktop/input-sources/
[/]
show-all-sources=true
current=uint32 0
sources=[('xkb', 'us'), ('xkb', 'jp'), ('ibus',
'kkc'), ('xkb', 'de'), ('xkb',
'us+intl-unicode')]
xkb-options=['grp:alt_shift_toggle']
[mfabian@Fedora-Live-Workstation-x86_64-2 ~]$
Switching works fine, I found no problems at all after updating to
Fujiwara San’s new packages.
Fujiwara San suggests that Gnome should set XMODIFIERS=@im=ibus though and
QT_IM_MODULE=ibus. Because without that, ibus won’t work in xterm and Qt
applications.
In Gnome/GTK2/GTK3 applications is seems to work without setting
GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus because of:
[mfabian@Fedora-Live-Workstation-x86_64-2 ~]$ dconf dump
/org/gnome/desktop/interface/
[/]
gtk-im-module='ibus'
