...I'm not sure if I've seen xterm hang. I also haven't been able to
reproduce
Emacs dropping characters.
However, Emacs still hangs frequently. :(
Thanks for your feedback. I can see that but the XIM event itself wasn't
getting stuck. SCIM was sending back the key release event due to Bug#466657.
which emacs doesn't take any action i.e. looks hanging up then.
