Description of problem:
01: When you type Sinhala using iBus I can see an underline mark for each
character (while it typing) but there is no such behaviour for English.
There is no such thing with scim we have before.
Which engine do you use?
After you install ibus-m17n, Sinhala -> wijesekera is available on ibus-setup
for example.
You can run 'ibus engine' to show the current engine.
I don't think your problem is an ibus framework issue but an ibus engine issue.
02: I use LibreOffice Writer Version 3.6.7.2 (Build ID: 3.6.7.2-4.fc18)
When I press CTRL+Space ibus switch to Sinhala input method but default font
is still appearing as Liberatio Serif but earlier it switch to LKLUG.
Without selecting LKLUG font the text appears horrible.
ibus uses the desktop font.
If you use GNOME, probably you can change the font with 'fonts-tweak-tool'
command.
