So this is my effort to clarify what I'm running into and get help. So
setting up CI tests upstream, the complete run and setup is done by issuing
sssd.git/contrib/ci/run
This command fails and must be ran by appending -n, so it ignores the
dependencies.
It only fails with dnf-yum. It works well with yum
(yum-depredated on fedora >= 22 )
[root@host ~]# rpm -qf /usr/bin/yum
dnf-yum-1.1.6-2.fc24.noarch
[root@host ~]# tail /usr/bin/yum
#
executable="/usr/bin/dnf"
msg="Yum command has been deprecated, redirecting to '$executable
$(a)'.\n"\
"See 'man dnf' and 'man yum2dnf' for more information.\n"\
"To transfer transaction metadata from yum to DNF, run:\n"\
"'dnf install python-dnf-plugins-extras-migrate && dnf-2
migrate'\n"
echo -e $msg >&2
exec $executable "$@"
It does not look like dnf them want to fix it very soon.
I will send a patch to use yum-deprecated on fedora to fix your isssue.
