As you have been told repeatedly, your number does not represent what
you are claiming for many reasons:

- many duplicate entries, due to multiple packages providing the same
  file/directory, updates, etc.

- more importantly, those packages are creating their own logfiles and
  have nothing to do with syslog and therefore nothing to do with this
  proposal
