I don't think everyone has to wait. The hardware acceleration seems to
work OK with AMD/ATI graphics hardware. It genuinely seems to do some
hardware acceleration, as the CPU load changes when I turn acceleration
on and off. However, acceleration does really funky things with the
nVidia graphics hardware I have tried.
