I have 3 x 4GiB Jetson Nano's. I have updated the u-boot on them using the update documentation provided, I did put the fedora build u-boot binary in place and flashed that. I am running Fedora Server on them all. 2 of them are running freeipa and are my local dns servers, the third I run DHCP and some other services on, I have been very happy with them and they work great. I am not sure what you would like to use them for so your milage may vary. I also have one of the new Jetson Orin Nano's I have not done much with it yet.

First of all, they don't give support if you don't use 18.04. You should lie if you want to be helped by nvidia. You should tell them that you are using 18.04,while you are using 20 or 22. But that's not the real problem. The real problem is that CUDA 10 is old. CUDA 11 has had a lot of improvements. To run the Jetson nano with CUDA 10 is very limiting. I'm going crazy to upgrade it to 11. Because despite what they say,I feel that it can be done.

Thanks Mario, It shouldn't be much of an overhead to be more current than 18.04. I haven't seen a card image for the later boards to see if they run on a later version of Ubuntu. Regards Sid.

You know the business plans of nVidia, right ? If you want recent software and support, you should buy their new product in 2,3 years. (in the socs world, while in the PC world every year your expensive gpu value will be zero and even its performances). Jetson nano born in 2019,it lasts 3 years. Yes,it seems old, numerically speaking, but it is still perfect for a lot of use cases. The task to keep it updated has been poured on the developers and final users with a low-medium level of experience. I've been able to upgrade ubuntu 18.04 to ubuntu 22.04,everything works good except for the GPU that can't be enabled because it seems strictly tied to CUDA 10. They say that CUDA 11 will not work on the Jetson nano. If I want to use it,I should buy the Jetson orin.
