Thanks for your reply. I've verified your test, and yes does look good.
However,if you test it on the application use system font or don't have
configuration for fonts, it looks bad. Please see my following comments
What does the system font mean here? for example, gnome-terminal and gedit uses
"Monospace" as default font. if both applications has different behavior, I
think there are a bug in that application. please file a separate bug for them.
As long as there are applications working correctly, I don't think there are
anything else I can do in fontconfig.
