#188: Missing required information for bans -----------------------+------------------------ Reporter: strikerttd | Owner: Type: feedback | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Fedora 20 Version: | Severity: Neutral Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -----------------------+------------------------ Reviewing #fedora bans.
The following entries are new, but have no explanation as to why they were added: [13:34] [BanList:#fedora] $a:b4dtR1p set by fedbot on 3/4/16 9:58 AM [13:34] [BanList:#fedora] $a:drbean set by fedbot on 2/27/16 8:18 AM
- For 'drbean', I suspect it was because of the very frequent joins and splits. - For 'b4dtR1p', there is no information in my logs.
As a Fedora OP, we are required to submit bans through #fedora-ops along with an explanation as to why we took the action. See "If you remove a user from the channel, note the action in the #fedora-ops channel." in the following link: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/IRC_operators_code_of_conduct
Since this information is lacking, I am submitting this ticket for review so that we can properly gather the missing information.

Comment (by dp67):
drbean was banned because of bouncing and every time he'd come back he'd come back with a different IP. So there was no way to do a timed ban through the bot. My guess is an unbound BNC or something.
badtrip was banned for flooding with ASCII art.
Both bans have been lifted.
