Thank you for answering my question. Do you create live remixes or
installation media? This problem doesn't affect live media. If you do
installation media, there might be dependency problems. How do you
create the installer image (the part which loads on boot)?

I am not using Pungi, but am building a Remix on top of Fedora Remix 18
having no probs with updating repositories.
Kept Yum configs at original and am working on own repo server and it
all works fine.
So all I can add is that the prob is not with the Remix must be
something wrong with Pungi or how its configuring Yum on the install.
