The recent gmime soname change is breaking builds right now making it difficult to do size testing. (There really should be an earlier freeze for soname bumps with dependencies than for leaf things.) Anyway, if it isn't cleared up by the alpha freeze, I'll make a guess and possibly do a tweak after freeze. The gmime issue should be an alpha blocker, since it should also be breaking the desktop spin, and hopefully should get fixed pretty quickly.

Since you are running the Games Spin, that might be a solid ground for applying to provenpackager, so that you can rebuild all packages against (for example) a library with a soname bump.
I had applied and was accepted because of the ruby* realm of things I'm also involved with.

I did at Rahul's suggestion a while back. While the reason was good it was felt that I hadn't had enough experience as a packager. I'll reapply eventually, but not right now.
In this case the things are blocking other people so someone will fix them. I had been more concerned about fixing games, where there was less notice of problems because they were leaf packages.
