FEL spin fate ?

Hi,
I am Alain, a French EE using Fedora for a long time now... (and ready to
go slightly beyond)

Obviously, FEL is not maintained/developed :

i think the reason is you need to be involved in both worlds, FOSS and
microelectronics to get the spin continously improved with fresh tools
and ideas - not just the build/engineering work to make it work

i pretty sure we all would be happy to have a new maintainer who is
involved in the microcontroler and electronics open source eco system to
make FEL great again ;)

How many are we, interested in FEL ? and making it great again ?

inventorying some problems, and asking for admin rights, along 
with rights for Alain, to see if we cannot revive it

I've had great difficulty getting a SVN CO of HEAD of kicad to 
build for a while, though
