Hi Kevin,
this bug is one of my reasons to establish this SIG - to have higher
"power" to deal with such cases. Problem is - OpenJDK people care
only about Firefox - this bug was introduced as fix for Firefox! I
talked to guy who submitted the update at first even with negative
karma. Thanks for testing it with F12, I ask him to update it too.
The question is - what can we do to make it better in the future? To
not let it happen again?
Well, I don't think the fix they have now is fully the fix... the above
shows that there are still problems. ;(
As to how to get leverage to get it fixed, not sure.
- We could file another bug and see if we can get them enough info
there to fix it.
- We could reassign all the above bugs or any others that affect
webkit to openjdk.
- We could politely mail java-1.6.0-openjdk-owner(a)fedoraproject.org and
try and get some attention.
I was hoping someone here would know someone on the java team. ;)
