If it's only a handful per day, then that's a good argument for a
fixup+signal - get the core dump so you can actually find out what the
data that caused the problem was.
Just FYI, when F-12 was being done, an alignment trap in glibc was
determined as a reason for a obscene number of alignment traps seen in
/proc/cpu/alignment. A temporary was patch was put in place after some
discussions (and no consensus):

I have no idea whether this patch is relevant or whether this trap was
fixed or not. Just remembered this discussion.
