Sorry to have caused offense. (It wasn't intended. Although, I think you
are well aware, that I'm just calling a spade a spade, rather than

I'm happy to welcome your opinion if it was just serial/usb/network!
Ultimately if it was going to be that I would have had that out quite
some time ago because it's not a large patch set, nor is it hard and
the criticism is just :-)
What I am trying to do is get decent support integrated into the
distro so we have complete support for a good experience without the
the massive effort required to support forks of all sorts of things.
That sadly takes a little bit longer.
I feel what we end up with, while it might not be 100% perfect, will
have actually taken a bunch of your feedback and hopefully addressed
it. If not then provide feedback/criticism and we'll iterate and
improve! I honestly wanted it out earlier but I've had more pressing
priorities.
