Hi Christian,
I gave it a shot:
dd if=/home/ole/generated.iso of=/dev/sdb
It did put the generated.iso contents on the drive (And nuke everything else), but the drive does not boot. I checked that the bootable flag was set using fdisk.
It was worth the shot. At this point I'll probably just use the fedora liveusb to get the box running and then try koan do to a reinstall with the correct profile.
Thanks again, - Ole

Just want to make sure I understand correctly. So for example first create a bootable USB stick by using Fedora Live USB Creator. Then once that stick is working, put the additional cobbler generated ISO onto the disk by doing:
cat generated.iso>/dev/sdb1
Looked up the instructions I had in mind, they are here: http://wiki.grml.org/doku.php?id=usb 'Install using dd'. So trying this will use the whole usbstick blockdevice (i.e. sdb instead of sdb1), will overwrite existing partitiontables, and will not require any preparation of the stick.
Its just a try however, I guess the iso has to be generated in a special way, not sure if that will work with the cobbler iso.
And now this will make the cobbler menu appear and enable me to select profiles?
For this the 'cobbler buildiso' has to be used with the correct para- meters, so supplied with the profiles you want - or maybe giving no parameters at all will also result in the menu offered with all the profiles.
