Would you expect Cobbler to have trouble with machines that have 2 NICs?
Most of our kickstart clients are ESX nodes, but I've been doing a few IBM HS21s this week, and they stop during the kickstart and ask me which interface I want to setup (eth0 or eth1).
Might this be anything to do with the fact they've been 'cobbler buildiso'ed up (they're on the last remaining non-PXE VLAN), so flags like 'ksdevice=bootif' don't apply?
Just wanted to check really. Thanks.

Dick,
I am using cobbler to install HP servers that have 2 and 4 nics, and I have not had any problems.
How far through the install process do you get before you are asked which interface you want to use?
Dominic
I also have this problem, I needed to use ksdevice=link. I have done one kickstart test and did not get the question. I got the question just before retrieving the ks file.

Jonas, are you using buildiso, or straight PXE?

I've spent most of this week installing a couple of H series blade centers with HS22s. I have to admit that I'm using NIC bonding, so I configure all 3 interfaces (two physical and the bond0 interface) in cobbler it all works fine, however I did test it with a base install of RH 5 x86_64 from the DVD ISO and there were no questions asking which interface I wanted.
It's also possible that it worked because our build LAN for these is completely flat so both interfaces could see the cobbler server.
Cheers, Aled.
