I have exactly the same error with CentOS 5.2. I have checked the links generated by cobbler when importing the centos dvd and there's no link to xen kernel, only standard one. Looking further I realized there's no xen profile generated by centos dvd import.
Is this normal or did I make a mistake ?

I probably made a mistake somewhere... I re-imported CentOS 5.2 from the DVD and got 2 distros (normal and xen) and 3 profiles (normal, xen and rescue).
in the past i have seen it where the 'images' were listed but were 0k and reimporting seemed to fix it - i could see it happen more than once but a reimport always seemed to fix it up so much so that i often imported a distro twice to be on the safe side.

This doesn't make sense to me, but rather than speculate, when this happens, please post the actual output and let's talk about what you have.

No, this is not a problem related to Cobbler.
You are most likely installing a non-Xen kernel in which case you need to edit the profile in question and make sure it's pointed at the correct distro.

I probably should have provided some additional information.
This is a problem I am experiencing when installing from a remote cobbler. I haven't tried this locally on this particular box, but the same setup works on three other boxes (locally).
I can get past this problem when I gen the ks, put it in /var/www/html on the cobbler machine and point to it using virt-manager (i.e. creating a vm with virt-manager) on the installation machine. (Although I do have some unrelated issues with this configuration).
