FYI, this worked for me when I changed --repo to --mirror in the
following command line.
I guess this shows that the CLI will forever be king. :)

I had a similar problem when adding the repo through the
web interface. When I added it at the command line, it worked.
# cobbler repo add --name=fedora10-updates \
--repo=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/upda
tes/10/x86_64/
