Bug ID: 1162233 Summary: http://beeblebrox.org/ appears to be dead Product: Fedora Documentation Version: devel Component: readme-burning-isos Assignee: zach@oglesby.co Reporter: rbiba@redhat.com QA Contact: docs-qa@lists.fedoraproject.org CC: stickster@gmail.com, zach@oglesby.co
Description of problem: HashTab can't be downloaded from http://beeblebrox.org/ because the page fails to load. It seems the site has been decommissioned.
The software is now available from https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hashtab/id517065482 or http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/. Note that implbits.com is also the first Google search result for beeblebrox.org or hashtab.

--- Comment #1 from Pete Travis me@petetravis.com --- I seem to remember hashtab being more floss-friendly than I find it now.... Throwing some alternatives in here whie researching, starting with
http://sourceforge.net/p/quickhash/wiki/Home/ - included README says """ This software is provided 'as-is', without any express or implied warranty. In no event will the authors be held liable for any damages arising from the use of this software. Permission is granted to anyone to use this software for any purpose, including commercial applications, and to alter it and redistribute it freely. """
Also, Zach - there was some discussion about using the Installation Guide to provide verification and media creation instructions, but I don't recall if you were a part of them. Your thoughts on deprecating readme-burning-isos?

--- Comment #2 from Zach Oglesby zach@oglesby.co --- This came up again the other day in IRC, I agree that we should just deprecate readme-burning-iso, but we may or may not be linking to malware at this point so we either need to remove the F20 copy or replace the text with what is in the install guide.

--- Comment #3 from Glen Rundblom grundblom@fedoraproject.org --- Revised the text in F20 of the image burning guide, replaced it with the verification steps in the install guide. This guide is deprecated but the ticket is now closed as the edits have been made.
