Description of problem:
The install guide contains a section that documents how one can use the rescue
mode off the dvd. It doesn't document how one can use the live media for simple
rescue operations. The most common use case is when people install Window after
installing Fedora off a live media. They lose grub, and they can't figure out
how to use the live media to reinstall it.

There are a couple of blog posts that document it. For example:

It would maybe be a good idea to have a section in docs that provides hints on
how the live cd can be used for basic rescue operations.

Agreed on documenting procedures that can be used to fix up common problems on
people's systems.  However, please do not mention using rescue mode as provided
by anaconda to do this on the live cd.  Either document using rescue mode from
the boot.iso, or document using the system tools as provided in the live cd
environment.  anaconda no longer offers a way to do rescue mode from the live
environment, as you've got a full operating system at your disposal there.

There's a section in the multiboot guide on reconfiguring GRUB for UEFI systems
now, including setting up a chroot for use with a live image.  I'll use this
bug to track the equivalent process on legacy systems.
