Talks I would like to propose:
1. Fedora in the Government (Venezuela and Guatemala case): I'm going
to explain my experience with Fedora in a government environment, this
talk is a improvement of
http://richzendy.org/docs/SoftwareLibreEnSaime/
and may be of interest for many people in Peru, this talk is based on
experience of my work of five years with Fedora in Venezuelan government
facility that handles the national identification and migration system.
2. What does OpenSource People life on: this is a basic talk with
which to start the conferences because most people who are starting to
free software is like make money or how to live on, this is a inspiring
talk that clears many doubts about as people see free software and
collapses myth about the sustainability of free software. you can see my
slides in =>
http://richzendy.org/docs/DeQueViveLaGentedelSoftwareLibre/
Workshops I would like to propose:
3. how to rpm: this workshop is about how work the Fedora rpm package
system and how you can make your owns rpm packages, this workshop is
oriented to beginners and experienced people, you can see in live how make
a RPM package.
You learn:
* How work the Fedora rpm package system and differences with others
distros
* How is a RPM
* How is a spec FILE, SPEC sections
* RPM macros
* Fedora documentation to make RPM
* How works the fedora infraestructure to build and publish RPM
packages
I can make this workshop together other Fedora member. My slides:
http://richzendy.org/docs/Taller-Empaquetado_de_RPM/RPM_Taller.pdf ( I
need update this slides)
4. I have a proposal/brainstorming to make a plugin/program to update
and install packages for people without internet, this is a serious
problem for the adoption of Fedora in many developing countries because a
lot people do not have internet in their houses, but they do have internet
at their work or school.
* If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information
such as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times.
Also let us know if you have specific time restrictions.
I would go with any hotel or hostel that the crew has chosen; I'm
perfect sharing a room with tatica, with another male or taking a smaller
room.
for flights, there are 2 options, one is not as cheap but longer (that
would mean more hotel) and a regular one that is shorter. HOWEVER, I can
make it through Cúcuta on my own and take a Super cheap flight from there
:D
