This is a status-check email for FUDCon funding, so we make sure our books balance with your books and everybody gets where they need to go. Here's what you need to do. 0. If you're on the first list below, you can safely ignore this email. Thanks! 1. FUDCon accounting update

See attached spreadsheet for automagical adding and not having to wrestle wikitable syntax. We are currently spending $17,558.73 of $19k, which means we have $1,441.27 remaining for various and sundry, including any overages from estimated travel (as the bookings trickle in, a decent number are actually under budget so this seems like it will balance out) and just-in-case stuff like "will the bus cost more money than we thought?" or "last minute run to office supply store for nametag stickers!" or what have you. If we want to leave $500 for wiggle room, we have a little under $1k left for sponsorships today. I'm going to (1) double-check all "FUNDING APPROVED!" meeting minutes to make super-sure we have the right numbers for everyone, and that they're adding up correctly - they just did this first time, so they'd better the second time too ;) and then (2) email all funding recipients, regardless of whether they've been pinged before / are 100% booked or not / whatever, so that everyone knows what their status is and what they have to do to close their portion of the books. --Mel

Next big target for FUDCon -- rooms

After we finish up on subsidies, I think the next thing lurking on the horizon is rooms. The things I've been thinking about: * It's easiest if we pair up people who are being paid for out of the same budget. * Anyone looking for roommates who's left over, we can do a "best guess" job of pairing up, and email them to let them know assignments (and change as needed). * Once we have people paired up, we should make sure all those assignments are on the wiki, and plenty of notices sent out everywhere so people know it's been done. * We need to send something around to boston-list internally at Red Hat (and if there's a relevant external list we can use that too) to ask people to volunteer crash space for people staying in Boston Thursday and/or Tuesdya nights. Anything else I might be forgetting? Paul

Last-minute design help needed: FUDCon ad

So we had the FUDCon ad all finished, and then there was a last-minute change of format, and from B&W to color. But we did it! https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/71#comment:17 ...the wrong way 'round. It works this way, Chris is going to print it sideways if we need to, but in case someone wants to pick up a quick last-minute tweak, the ticket's up. Chris notes the final file is needed by noon EDT (approx 4.5 hours from now).
