Looks like there is no longer option to toggle ibus off, and that it handles normal keyboard layouts too. I however have the option "Use system keyboard layout" disabled in ibus, because using other input methods like Russian is not possible with Finnish keyboard layout, some of the letters cannot be typed then. Essentially I cannot use ibus to type in other languages because I cannot write properly in my own language if ibus is running.
