I'd like to just add a few things also 'for the record' :)
* A quiet is a short (15m) action that simply causes the user to not be
able to send messages to the channel. It's not a ban, it's not a kick,
it's simply a way to tell someone that they are getting hot under the
collar and should consider taking a 15m break to step away and return to
the problem with a more calm mind. This is a transitory action.
* The #fedora irc channel is a volenteer run and staffed community support
channel. I'm sorry you had a bad experence. However, this is only ONE of
the support channels the Fedora project offers. Have you tried the mailing
lists? ask.fedoraproject.org? the forums? Perhaps one of them would suit
you better.
