It seems very much like the channel ops were more interested in cracking
race jokes ("Mexican't" is not a word I want to see in a Fedora channel,
particularly not when deployed by native English speakers against a
Spanish speaker) than answering the original interesting question, or
allowing anyone else to.
I think it reflects incredibly badly on the community for channel ops to
be hassling someone based on their nationality. The IRC channels are
supposed to be welcoming and polite.
