log4j in our rhel6 repo

Why we have log4j in our 6Server repo?:
http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/katello/katello/6Server/x86_64/

log4j >= 1.2.14 is needed by (installed) elasticsearch-0.18.4-11.el6.noarch

But 1.2.14 is in rhel6 for ages (years).
Can I safely assume it is not needed in our repo?

probably just a holdover. Mccune.. do you own this repo?

Safely test the installation without it (blacklist it) and when it works
- yeah, lets shoot it. ;-)

On the serious note, I don't know any reason why to hold log4j in our
repo.

we used to require it for the way we packaged elasticsearch but it is no 
longer required ... cruft that can be deleted
