What could have caused the as the system has only done a repository
sync? There was never any reboot since katello was first installed.
On a side question what directory katello hold its repositories in?
/var/lib/pulp contains all your 'content'
as far as why Tomcat died? good question, I've actually not seen that
happen where everything was running but Tomcat. Did your system run out
of disk space? Any big errors in /var/log/tomcat6/catalina.out ?
