Dangyi,
As I commented previously, it's not good to put
crashkernel/panic_on_warn under /etc since it's 100% useless for
kdump
kernel or definitely break kdump kernel. Is there any other
motivation
to add this except it can please advanced users when they want to try
these kernel paramenters in kdump kernel?
As far as I'm concerned, although some kernel parameters should never
be passed to the second kernel, it may be a little strange to tell
users that params in KDUMP_COMMANDLINE_REMOVE *plus* some other params
would be removed from cmdline. Putting them together does not necessari
ly means that they can all be configured "freely", but provides an
unified way for users to examine what would be removed and how they can
change this *in some degree*. Also, "reset_devices" should always be
specified in KDUMP_COMMANDLINE_APPEND but we still have it in configure
file.
Thanks,
Dangyi
