Hi there!
What status xen has on ia64 arch? Why xen for ia64 available for RHEL5 and not available for FC7?
Upstream Xen has support for ia64 integrated in the main releases. ia64 is not a supported architecture in Fedora on bare metal or Xen, so we don't build packages / kernels for it.
Fedora: i686, x86_64, ppc RHEL: i686, x86_64, ppc, ia64, s390
This pretty much reflects that very few people in Fedora world have access to ia64 or s390 hardware so the extra work involved in maintaining it for Fedora is just not viable.

Hi, Dan
Why Fedora have Fedora-IA64-list? https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-ia64-list

I am of course talking complete & utter rubbish. I don't know what I was thinking when i wrote my last mail. ia64 wes support in Fedora 6 Xen, but Juan seems to have disabled the ia64 builds in rawhide at the moment. The Fedora 7 / rawhide Xen is rather unstable at the moment - we're trying to jump over 3.0.4 and go straight to 3.0.5 - hopefully a kernel will be ready with 3.0.5 + 2.6.21 in the very near future. Once it works on x86, we can make sure it also works on ia64.
Dan.

No - there's no upstream work on that - I was listing the general set of archs for the distro as a whole - Xen only currnetly works on x86/ia64, although PPC is arriving soon in 3.0.5 upstream

What about AMD64? Were you "lumping" that in with x86?
