Ask Fedora is a community edited knowledge base, a forum oriented towards
just questions and answers. A test instance is running at
http://ask01.dev.fedoraproject.org:8888/questions/
Upstream css file is at
http://fpaste.org/FdSm/raw/
If anyone is interested, let me know and I can make you a admin for the
test instance and you can experiment with the css via the admin settings
which allows for a custom css file which overrides parts of the default
css file as necessary.
A logo would also be nice since we want to promote this site without the
restrictions associated with the Fedora logo

#119: Request for new system-config-services icon

I would like to ask for a new icon for system-config-services application
to replace old Bluecurve one [1] with an icon better fitting desktop and
current standards. It could re-use icons from gnome-icon-theme, like we
did with anaconda. Program's author is aware of this request [2].

Hey,
we need a European edition of Free Media envelope for the new tool by
FranciscoD.
http://dodoincfedora.wordpress.com/2012/02/16/fedora-freemedia-tool-
version-0-2alpha/
The problem with the current Templet is that it is too big "13.5 cm x 13.5
cm," but I need max. "12.5 cm x 12.5 cm". Otherwise I have to pay more
than 1.45 € for shipping.

I already talked to FranciscoD and he asked me to creat a new ticket.

The current cheat cubes (
https://fedoraproject.org/w/uploads/4/4e/Fedora_Cheat_Cube_Users.png ) are
a bit outdated, listing commands which are no longer relevant (eg.
chkconfig) or simply unnecessary (eg. xorg --configure).
The cheat cubes needs to be reviewed and updated to be relevant for
current Fedora systems.

Greetings,
we're in the process of streamlining the Packagedb
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/ to only show the information about
package acls (getting rid of all the information about the applications
and builds -- that's moving into https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/
).
We'd love to have someone work with us to improve the interface at this
time. In particular, this page:
http://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/name/python which is the
primary page that package maintainers use to assign ownership of packages.

#217: Mockup for Fedora Packager for Eclipse context menu

Fedora Packager for Eclipse is an Eclipse plug-in which can be thought of
as a GUI for Fedora packaging. Commands are available via the context
menu. With the number of features increasing it is becoming more and more
difficult to come up with a proper design of the context menu. As of now,
the total number of items so far is 12 with 3-6 more in the queue. We
would appreciate help for coming up with a better design/structure.
Perhaps a context menu isn't the right approach, feel free to go wild. We
are open for new and innovative suggestions.
Here is a mock-up of existing functionality including the context menu:
http://jerboaa.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/fedora_packager_0-2_mockup.png
Our user guide is here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Eclipse_Fedora_Packager_User_Guide
What are our current challenges?
* Figure out a way to structure the context menu with 20+ items
* Have a select set of commands directly accessible, others might be
hidden behind an "advanced" element
* Perhaps grouping of menu items could make sense 1. Koji. 2. General. 3.
RPM related commands
Thanks for your help! Let me know if you have questions.

Fedora Packager for Eclipse is a plug-in for Eclipse. Most of the
functionality is accessible via a context menu called "Fedora Packager".
Here is a mock-up which shows (most of the current menu items features).
http://jerboaa.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/fedora_packager_0-2_mockup.png
It would be nice to have icons shown for the most common commands as this
would improve usability. I'm thinking of icons for the following menu
items:
* Push build to Koji
* Perform scratch build
* Perform scratch build using local SRPM
* Bodhi update
* Build for local architecture
* SRPM build
* Mock build
Icons should be 16x16 pixels. Feel free to be creative. Please let me know
if you have questions.
