The actual https://spins.fedoraproject.org website is just a temporary
solution, it's confusing and we have too many images there, because after
F21 we have also ARM and Docker images there (also prerelease).
So, for F22 GA we want to release a new spins.fpo website, where we could
promote Desktop Spins (KDE, Xfce, LXDE, MATE-Compiz, SoaS). The other,
more functional spins, could go under a new website, i.e.
labs.fedoraproject.org where we can also add ARM and Docker images and
give them their own space.
My thought was to have for both websites a nice landing page, use the same
header and footer as we have in getfedora.org, and make them mobile
friendly. The dedicated page for each spin (it doesn't matter if they are
on spins or labs) should have the same template. Two or three screenshots
for features, some text and the download images, maybe with a nice header
(tagline). The best would be to get the content directly from the spins
SIG.
As we don't have much time to do it and also need to work on F22-Beta and
F22 GA simultaneously, I'm requesting some mockups (just images) for:
* Landing page for Spins
* spins template
* Landing page for Labs
* maybe ARM
The websites team can code these, make them responsive using the same
structure we have in getfedora.org and run all scripts we need to make the
new websites awesome.
After getfedora.org and start.fedoraproject.org this could be a great step
to have new and modern websites for every usecase. I'm adding 2 images I
built in our websites repo (spins-redesign branch), they are not very nice
but maybe could be useful anyway.
Thanks for your help, the earlier we have some mockups, the better ;)

I apologize for getting this ticket started so late, I was more concerned
about completing the artwork for the LFNW ad (ticket #357)
If this can not be completed in time to support LFNW on April 24-26 that
is fine but we would like to continue to get the guitar pick for
ambassador swag.

Comments on guitar pick printing
I have contacted the three guitar pick printers asking them about the
lines per inch limit of single color printing. Since the light blue
portion of the Fedora logo is half white and half Fedora blue I think that
small area could be printed with a 50% halftone. All the printers replied
that we should use full color printing. All the printers charge about
$185 per 1000 picks for single color pad printing and $275 per 1000 picks
for full color digital printing. They will blend the single color (pad
printing) as required. Pad printing typically has 125 to 175 lines per
inch resolution. Pad printed ink is more durable than the digital print.
I believe that a conversation with Chrissy at InTuneGP could convince them
to do a single color test print with our artwork using a suitable halftone
for the light blue area. Can the Design team do this? I am submitting a
ticket to ambassadors to authorize the expense for 1000 to 2000 picks.
So this could be a quick and easy task to get inexpensive guitar picks in
time for LinuxFest NorthWest. Or it could be a moderately involved task.

I think it's time to make something that moves people, and can use our new
t-shirt designs. We need a proper campaign, that we can say that we are
not anymore the old Fedora, and we are moving with changes to Fedora
.NEXT. I would like to start a series, where we not only sending in
pictures, else other marketing materials that we can freely modify, or use
it behind our fedora booths. Therefore I have created the first piece that
if someone likes it, he can praise or curse me - or simply create and use
it if design and marketing team approves it. My purpose would be with this
to reach the Makers community in first, and bind it with the name of
Fedora, to have
