Max vacation reminder
by Max Spevack
All,
I wanted to make sure that everyone on these two lists knows that I will
be on a family vacation from Thursday May 26, returning to work on
Monday June 6.
Additionally, Monday May 30 is a holiday in the USA, so most Red Hat
employees won't be around that day.
Thanks,
Max

Budget guidance for FUDCon Milan and FUDCon APAC/India teams
by Max Spevack
I know that FUDCon Milan is in active organization, and that bids are
open for a FUDCon in APAC.
While the numbers might change after the totals for FUDCon Panama are
finalized, for the moment I want to make sure that the organizational
teams, and Jared, know what our current targets are:
As of today, the absolute maximum that we can budget for these events
is:
$20,000 USD for FUDCon Milan (14,000 EUR)
$15,000 USD for FUDCon APAC/India
This also assumes a budget of $20,000 USD for FUDCon Blacksburg in NA at
the beginning of 2012.
Once again, this will be reviewed after FUDCon Panama is complete, but
I'd like people to have those numbers in mind as the ABSOLUTE CEILING --
when every last penny is added up, it can't go over these numbers.
Thanks,
Max

Hi,
In order to get descriptions for some of the key talks listed for FUDCon
Panama 2011 that we can use for press and promotion, the Local Team is
collecting these descriptions through tickets.
Would you be so kind to update the description of this ticket with more
information about your talk? An example of useful information is an
outline and what things should the audience be familiar with before the
talk.
Thanks!

Tell us the following:
* What do you need covered? (Please estimate the costs in USD: hotel $X,
travel $Y)
Hotel: $0
Travel: $1200 - $1400
* If we cannot provide a full subsidy, will a partial subsidy be helpful?
(Yes/No)
Yes.
* If Yes can you specify the minimum amount you would need covered to
facilitate your attendance
Depending on timing, I might be able to save some money, up to the first
$600 or so. Remaining funds requested would then add up to $600 - $800.
* What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? (Please be as specific as
possible, since this is the most important factor in granting requests.)
1. RPM Packaging (preferably course, not just session) towards the rpmdev
initiative
1. Proper Build Infrastructure (TM), e.g. koji and mock
1. Spins in general, localized spins specifically
1. (infrastructure) configuration management, provisioning, system life-
cycle management
1. General Fedora Ninja tasks perhaps including mentoring some of the
audience through what it is they need
* If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such
as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. Also
let us know if you have specific time restrictions.
Departure airport: CWL (noon - evening) / BST (afternoon - night), can
arrange free overnight stay near AMS or CDG
Arrival airport: PTY
* Do you need a visa or other official processing before you can attend
FUDCon? If so, approximately how long does that processing take?
Not needed according to http://www.alfatravelguide.com/english/pa/pa-
visa.htm
* Include any additional, relevant information.

fudcon-panama arrival times.
by itamar
I have sorted the arrival times, and investigated if is interesting to
wait for another fedora guy to arrive.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Panama_2011_travel_planing
Toshio Kuratomi + Dennis Gilmore ( Toshio need to wait 1:40h )
Igor Soares + Tom Callaway ( Igor need to wait 30m )
-> INTERESTING.
Maria Leandro + Edwind Contreras (both will arrive at same time, same flight ?)
Neville A. Cross + German + Ruiz Oliver Rivas (Oliver will arrive 1h later)

FUDCon Panama: Question about sanitary requirements
by Igor Pires Soares
Hello!
There are some information on the web saying that people who are going
to Panama from some countries must take a shot of Yellow Fever vaccine
and present a proper documentation when they land in the country.
I don't know if that is outdated information or still is valid. Can
someone of the local team clarify that? This information might be
valuable to everyone attending to the event.
Thanks,

Reminder: FUDCon Panama planning meeting today
by Robyn Bergeron
Just a friendly reminder that there is a FUDCon Panama meeting today
at 18:00 UTC in #fudcon-planning. (That's 11:00am US-Pacific, 2:00pm US-Eastern,
I double-checked the time conversion :D)
Meeting agenda is in Trac:
https://fedorahosted.org/fudcon-planning/report/12
I'd like to also add to the agenda the proposal of having a meeting next week prior
to the event. I'm going to leave this up to the folks doing the planning and/or
those who will be onsite - I know that a number of folks are travelling to Panama
on Monday, so I don't know if you'd like to have a last planning meeting in
person after their arrival, or would like plan on having an IRC meeting
on Monday or Tuesday of next week. We can discuss in the meeting.
Thanks,
Robyn
