Fair enough, though are people really needing to build custom kernels that
often? (It's quite likely I'm out of touch with reality). :)
Need and desire are two different things. It's unknown if there is a
major need (I would think actually fewer minor/specific needs), but
many people are interested in doing so as a "dip the toe in the water"
exercise.
