Hi,
Maybe we could put together a simple guide for the sponsored attendees detailing which
bus to take and from where, where to get off, etc.
I'm headed to LCCT on the 6th – if you can wait till then, I will write up a simple
doc on the 7th of April. Can anyone do KLIA?
yes, thats the plan - for the daytime attendees
our issue right now are those arriving at late midnight .. or Gurdip,
can you stay in LCCT until 12:40am and see whether you can get home
affordably around that time? :P .. a clear idea on the cost +
difficulty involved can help us in making decision.
Yes we can wait till 7th April, as this is not an urgent decision to make :-)
Do let me know.
Thanks
Cheers
Gurdip

Subject: Re: [fedora-my] Speaker Pickup
* The timing should +- 30mins for them to get luggage, buy bus ticket, get to the bus,
bus delay (as usual) etc..
* Re-confirm which bus they boarded, since the bus might stop at different places.. of
course it is KL Sentral, but the place quite huge.. hopefully, every1 is reachable by
phone..

dude ... the issue right now is mainly targetted to these:
- Those who arrived at late night when public transport are already
down, and cabs have started to charge 200%
- Those who arrived at daytime , yes, they can find their way. Public
transport works find during daytime, we don't have to pick them up,
unless due emergency reasons.
- Only covers those who are under fedora funding, the rest, no.
- You really want people to be lost around 1am in the morning, in a
country they are not familiar with?? I dont. - Or can you suggest a
better idea on how to prevent this?
(probably this thread should be renamed to -> "Pick up fedorans who
arrived late at night")
@Meng,
You want to volunteer for this? .. Right now from the tentative, theres:
kumarpraveen, ankursinha, adimania -> 16th May, 12:10am in LCCT, so
maybe 1:30am in KLSentral
rtnpro -> 17th May, 12:10am in LCCT, so maybe 1:30am in KLSentral
the rest arrives at daytime, so we dont have to pick them.
