Hello Medical Sig,
Seeing below Debian Med group, I thought I wanted to know the list of medical packages on Fedora Project.
https://blends.debian.org/med/tasks/
How do you think of adding the list to our wiki page like a Debian Med Group's page? It looks convenient, isn't it?
I am interested in especially Biology (bioinformatics) packages such as biopython, BioConductor and etc.

Hello Fedora Mecial people.
This is a reply to the old email thread.
I want to document the listed package in Fedora to somewhere like Debian Med team's page. https://blends.debian.org/med/tasks/ https://blends.debian.org/med/tasks/bio
One possible way is to edit the current FedoraMedical wiki page. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/FedoraMedical
Another way is, I would prefer this way, adding Group tag to the target RPM packages. For example, following page is for the RPM packages that are set as Group: ruby-rails. https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/groups/ruby-rails Then put the link to the Fedora Medical SIG's wiki page.
So, as I am interested in Biology (Bioinformatics) RPM packages. I would like to set the packages to group: "bio".
There are many bio RPM packages such as biopython, htslib, samtools, bowtie and etc. And I am seeing that verdurin and sagitter have some bio packages. https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/verdurin/projects https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/sagitter/projects
I want to make the bio packages more visualize and accessible by users.

Hi Jun,
The Fedora Medical SIG is inactive. No one is managing it at all. If you'd like to re-activate it, I suggest e-mailing the devel list etc. and verifying how things are set up---*everything* probably needs updating.
Hi Ankur,
Thanks for your reply. Yeah, right. The Fedora Medical SIG is inactive right now. I sent an email to the devel list now.
I try to revive the Medical SIG. For me, still using this SIG name: "Medical SIG" that is the same structure with Debian Med team is useful. Last month I attended Debian Med team's event in person. I felt the team is well-organized.

Right. I will try to make a system for Medical SIG to work well.

I renamed the current Fedora Medical page URL from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/FedoraMedical to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Medical .
Because it's to align with other SIGs page URLs. They do not have "Fedora" prefix for the URL. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:SIGs
I also updated this page too. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:SIGs#Medical
