F10 Beta release
by Paul W. Frields
Great job with the release this morning, guys. I know there were some
gremlins in a torrent or two, but overall very painless and you guys
made it look easy (as always). Hurrah, another milestone on the path
to Cambridge!
If anyone has any issues, we could plant them on a page for the next
release day planning group call.

Yeah, just to be clear, if we don't slip beyond November 25 for GA, we
shouldn't have to disturb the F12 schedule at all (at least not
pre-emptively).

Probably, and they need to come from people smarter and more experienced
than me. We might want to involve James Laska in this thread as well.
By the way, I don't know who-all's here on the rel-eng alias, but I am
assuming that this is an open-sub list -- I'm sure I've visited the
archives before so I know they're open. If I'm wrong, someone tell me
so we can get this into the right open venue please.

Change the inheritance of 'dist-rawhide' from 'f10-beta' to 'dist-f10'.
This will allow rawhide to pull in Fedora 10 content. Make sure to alert
fedora-devel-announce.
This should be done once F10 Beta is being staged for mirrors and
considered unchanging.

Request for tagging itzam-core-2.1.1-1.fc[89] as dist-f[89]-override
by Martin Nagy
Hi, itzam-core was just recently added to Fedora and other package
(messiggy, bug #461377) depends on it. It is now submitted as an
update, but the process takes a while. To speed things up, I would like
to request tagging of itzam-core-2.1.1-1.fc8 as dist-f8-override and
itzam-core-2.1.1-1.fc9 as dist-f9-override so that I can build them
ASAP. Thank you in advance.

Removing pidgin-facebookchat package (replaced by purple-facebookchat)
by Matej Cepl
Hi,
both me and Tom Callaway made independently package of the upstream
pidgin-facebookchat (which is the name Tom used, I called it
purple-facebookchat, because the upstream name is misleading). Tom
released the package and agreed with me that my package should take
over.
I have bumped the release of my purple-facebookchat with proper Provides
and Obsoletes, and commited dead.package as described on
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackageMaintainers/PackageEndOfLife to all
branches (F-8, F-9, devel).
Now, I should ask you to block the package from the appropriate
collections in which it is retired, which I am doing just now.
Thanks,
Matěj Cepl

php-manual-en returning from retirement
by Tim Jackson
Due to a change in upstream license, php-manual-en (currently
dead.package'd) is going to return to F9 and devel as per bug #419081. An
updated version with good license is checked into CVS devel branch.
Please can it be unblocked from koji and whatever else is necessary?
Thanks
Tim
