@puiterwijk
I think that we should first make clear on how we can clear old commits (from EOL'd
Fedora releases etc) from such a repo, and then also get garbage collection to make sure
that they get removed.
We should then probably also have tooling that can do this automatically, and archives
older commits.
I have identified needs for better pruning tooling around this as well. I discussed this
with @walters earlier in the week and I opened [this
RFE](https://github.com/ostreedev/ostree/issues/1115) to get more fine grained pruning.
@puiterwijk
We also would need an idea of how this all works for releng.
Together with this, I think we should get the list of people that know ostree up from the
current set.
We really should be getting clear SOPs and documentation on how to do all the
ostree/atomic operations.
I agree
@puiterwijk
However, I do think that we need to get all of the parts figured out and documented (as
said, archiving and garbage collection e.g.) and SOPs.
I agree. I didn't realize how much of a gap existed in releng for having this
information written down. Can we identify what SOPs we think we need?
1 - SOP for creating new ostree repo (should not be as needed after we have a unified
repo
2 - SOP for archiving old release of Fedora (my preference would be that we create an
archive repo to put the last commit from that release in)
3 - ??
