Hi,
Hello,
So I just discussed with @lsedlar a change that he is planning to
implement on Monday/Tuesday of next week. As an outsider looking in
and as someone who cares about a particular artifact being delivered
regularly I think it would great if we could announce changes like
this to this list so that we all can have an idea of some changes
that have happened over the past few weeks and maybe even clue in to
what the people were thinking that made the changes.
First, let me explain the overall Pungi upgrade process. First step is
a new release in upstream (pagure), then koji builds of that new
version are done and proposed as updates in Bodhi. Then the compose
boxes are updated. Up until Bodhi it's my job, actual upgrade is done
probably by Dennis or other release engineer or someone from infra.
I definitely agree it makes sense to announce changes in the new
version to the mailing list. I will try and send some announcement here
with details about what changed. That announcement does not mean the
version is immediately used in production though. Usually it is
deployed quite quickly though.
Thanks for this suggestion. Let's see how it works.

Even if you forgot to send an email about the change, you could
still
notify people about the change after the fact: "oops, should have
said this before, but I updated the builders today".
Thoughts?
Thank you all for everything you have done to help be learn about
releng!
