Summary: Medion MD5407QA not autodetected correctly

------- Additional Comments From martin(a)gamesplace.info 2008-05-28 13:41 EST -------
I have some news regarding the use of the nv driver. With latest Fedora 9
updates, I at least get a picture and do not get "out of range". But the
resolution is very low (640x480 I guess, though my display supports 1024x768).
I will attach the Xorg log.

> Going to investigate why parted is giving the wrong information.
As parted works with more partitioning methods, a.k.a. "label types",
than (s)fdisk, and attempts to guess a partition type from what it
sees on a disk, it may turn out that the problem is "unfixable"
because of a clash with, say, a gpt handling code.
It is good to know that you can at least look at the problem. Thanks!
