As in comment #3, can you try to build initrd manually? And this not looks like
yaboot issue. Maybe we should change component to initrd.

This is something that I have considered, but even if that is the case, parted
is still misbehaving IMO. might be that the heuristic it is using has not
considered a corner case. Will have to look at this closer.

It is upstream already.
Man pages should be fixed, you're right. Can you please open bug against it?
Now there isn't any open bug against cdrtools on RHEL5 with this issue.
-new-dir-mode issue should be documented in man pages, I think. The same as
above, can you please open ne bug?

I tried deleting ".glipper". But glipper is crashed to start up.
Another trying
Downloading CVS version of glipper and Building it, it works good.
