FUDCon EMEA Budget
by Marcus Moeller
Hi all.
we are not yet sure how budget is handled for FUDCon EMEA 2010? Will
Red Hat transfer the amount to out bank account or do we have to
provide the bills and Red Hat will pay them?
Please note that we cannot book anything unless this has been clarified.

take note: brand requirements changing for FUDCon logo
by Ian Weller
(/me puts on his Fedora brand hat)
For all FUDCons in 2011 and later (Tempe and beyond), we're going to
start using a slightly modified version of the FUDCon logo, as directed
by the Design Team and Red Hat Legal.
The major difference: the font of the location name will be changed to
Comfortaa. (Legal asked us to not change the font of the 'FUDCon'
wordmark.)
For these events, please don't produce anything until we have a proper
SVG template created. This shouldn't take any longer than a couple of
weeks (draft, send for approval, get approved, done).
Thanks for your cooperation in creating a cohesive brand for Fedora! :)

Proposals for next FUDcon LATAM 2011 : Ciudad de Panamá
by María Leandro
Hello!
First of all, I would like to thank all for responsivenessthat have get for
FUDCon LATAM 2011. Also, Iwould like to introduce the relevant links to the
formal proposal of Panama City as a possible location for FUDCon LATAM 2011
English version of the proposal: https: / / fedoraproject.org / wiki /
FUDCon: LATAM_2011_Bid_Panama
Spanish version of the proposal: https: / / fedoraproject.org / wiki /
FUDCon: LATAM_2011_Bid_Panama/es
Probably is a little early to start FUDcon organization, but I would like to
cite as examples FLISoL Caracas, which brings us 8 months of planning to
have 3000 people ... Prevention is better ...
Any idea, suggestions or complaints is more than welcome.
As a side note, let me add that I believe that CentralAmerica has shown
great quality and responsibility to organize events. We have an example that
Neville's team in Nicaragua won not only the best Release Party but also has
won often the best SFD party too, also we have pizza bash, fedora tour and
many more. I believe that CentralAmerica (now CEAM) has all the experience
necessary for a FUDCon to be successful, besides having an excellent group
of collaborators in different teams.
If we want to grow, we must try, right? Lets follow Santiago de Chile
example!
Arriba CEAM!

Southwest Airlines Travel
by Eric Shubert
Southwest Airlines has many flights into the valley, and their fares can
be the cheapest available. Plus "Bags Fly Free". (No, you can't bag your
spouse). ;)
SWA is only ticketing through 1/7/11 at this point. When they open up
ticketing for the end of January, they will probably have their usual
'sale' prices, where you can fly for $49 each way from western cities,
and $106 (or so) from many eastern cities.
I'll try to remember to post a notice here when SWA opens up booking for
dates in late January.

From: Eric Shubert <ejs(a)shubes.net>
To: Ryan Rix <ry(a)n.rix.si>
Ryan,
Congrat on getting fudcon here. Looking forward to it.
I've requested the list be added to gmane.org, which is what I like to
use for list access.
As the notice below says, the gmane.org list will be available for
subscribing once something (new) is posted to it. Will you please post
something there so I can subscribe? You might want to let the list know
that it will be available on gmane.org, which would kill two birds. ;)
Thanks.
