Freeze break request: fix backups to backup hosted03 instead of hosted02
by Kevin Fenzi
After the move the other week to the hosted01/02 cluster, I switched
backups to backup hosted02. However, we backed out this migration and
went back to hosted03 as the active node.
I'd like to switch our backups back to hosted03 so we are actually
backing up the thing that our users are using. ;)
+1s?

Fedora 17 Final freeze in effect
by Kevin Fenzi
Greetings.
we are now in the infrastructure freeze leading up to the Final Fedora
17 release. This is a Final release freeze.
Please see:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/browser/architecture/Envir...
Anything in the Full freeze box is frozen until 2012-05-22 (or
later if release slips). This means there should be NO puppet changes to
any hosts in there (including global ones) without signoff of the
change from at least 2 folks in sysadmin-main and/or
release-engineering.
Thanks,
kevin

Introduction (again)
by Jayson Rowe
Good Afternoon,
A while back I expressed interest in helping w/ the Fedora
Infrastructure team, but several factors caused me not to get very
deeply involved.
I got interested in learning development, and projects with my work
got in the way, and I wound up not even sticking with Fedora for long
back then.
Well, I'm back w/ Fedora (for good!), and my job has changed quite a bit.
I've been learning Python for a while, and although I have been a
Linux user since around 2001, at work, we have been transitioning from
a primarily Windows shop to having more and more servers running Linux
(specifically, CentOS mainly). I have quickly learned that my desktop
Linux skills do not necessarily transfer over, and I'm hungry to learn
from some "real" Linux admins. I'm interested in learning any and all
areas of Systems Administration as well as any way I can apply Python
to SysAdmin tasks. I've been admining Windows servers for about 7
years now, but Linux admins over about the past year or so.
Now, for the intro part,
My name is Jayson Rowe, I live in Darlington, SC and I work for a
software company (www.acstechnologies.com) that creates software for
Churches and Schools.
My IRC handle is jayson_r and here is my Wiki page on the Fedora
Project Wiki: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Jaysonr
I look forward to working with you all, and I'm eager to learn anything I can.
Thanks!

Hi, the infra team in CC would be better for this sort of support.
could you provide the output of the following command?
$ ssh -vvv themonteiro(a)fedorapeople.org
(please use the fpaste.org service)
give also your ~/.ssh/config file if any

Proposal: *.fudcon.fedoraproject.org subdomains for FUDCons
by Ian Weller
FUDCon organizers may wish to use their own application (hosted
anywhere, such as OpenShift) to handle registrations or BarCamp
scheduling for FUDCons.
There is currently some sort of application on fudcon.fedoraproject.org
that handles registrations and other things (there's currently a
discussion on that on various lists).
My proposal is as follows:
- At the request of the event organizers for an approved FUDCon, a
domain name such as lawrence2013.fudcon.fedoraproject.org is created.
- This domain can point to anywhere (for example, an OpenShift
application, or a VPS).
- The first part of the domain name will be the city name where the
FUDCon is hosted followed by the year (for example, blacksburg2012,
kualalumpur2012, lawrence2013).
At this point I'm only proposing that we do DNS services.
Questions, comments, flames?

- 811739
- 811750
- 811759

These two are not package reviews, but are tickets that need to be
resolved in order to move forwards with fedmsg in stg:

All of the above are dependencies of the latest major version bump of
Moksha. I haven't yet submitted the review request for python-fedmsg itself,
but it's coming soon.
