Actually, it seems that anonymous cvs access is broken:
$ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.fedoraproject.org:/cvs/pkgs co puppet
cvs checkout: failed to create lock directory for `/cvs/pkgs/CVSROOT'
(/var/lock/cvs/extras/CVSROOT/#cvs.history.lock): Permission denied
cvs checkout: failed to obtain history lock in repository `/cvs/pkgs'
cvs checkout: Updating puppet
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot make directory /var/lock/cvs/extras/rpms/puppet: Permission
denied
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot make directory /var/lock/cvs/extras/rpms/puppet: Permission

I just filed this as:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2325
If that's fixed, then a redirect wouldn't be so bad. :)
