Upgrading non-interactively
by Lukas Zapletal
Hello,
=== Option --assumeyes does not work in katello-upgrade ===
Use {{{ yes | katello-upgrade }}} to use it non-interactively.
Currently there is one known issue - we will be releasing update for
Katello 1.1 later today:
https://fedorahosted.org/katello/wiki/ReleaseNotes11
Have a nice weekend!

Package storage location?
by Stewart, Douglas H
Hypothetically, let's say I'm space-constrained on a local device but have plenty of SAN space to dump ISOs, RPMs, etc. on. How would I go about putting those sizable pieces of data out onto said SAN space? Is it as as simple as moving a couple of directories and symlinking, or is it something more profound?

We are currently working on Fedora 17 port (Ruby 1.9) and we have decided to

life soon, it is recommended to install Katello 1.1 on RHEL6.

multimaster implementation (such as vendor specific masters)
by Greg Swift
So.. here is a discussion from the IRC channel about a different use
case. I don't know how likely it is, but it seems like something that
would be attractive to vendors.
Also seems like the ability for a local katello instance to be able to
attach to multiple upstream katello's in the same was as I describe
for the customers in the discussion.

Error during configuration
by Colin Coe
Hi all
I seem to be hitting the same problem as mentioned in
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=854732
One of the follow up comments points at an incompatibility with IBMs Java
package. Looking into this, it seems liquibase is to blame as it requires
'java' and so IBMs Java 1.7.0 gets installed.
I've manually installed java-1.7.0-openjdk and removed java-1.7.0-ibm but
I'm still getting errors.
I'm on a RHEL6.3 (fully updated) VM (RHEV 3.0.5).

Starting Katello configuration
The top-level log file is
[/var/log/katello/katello-configure-20121003-130852/main.log]
err: /Stage[main]/Candlepin::Service/Exec[cpinit]/returns: change from
notrun to 0 failed: /usr/bin/wget --timeout=30 --tries=5
--retry-connrefused -qO-
http://localhost:8080/candlepin/admin/init>/var/log/katello/katello-configure/cpinit.log
2>&1 && touch
/var/lib/katello/cpinit_done returned 8 instead of one of [0] at
/usr/share/katello/install/puppet/modules/candlepin/manifests/service.pp:20
---
Any ideas?
Thanks
