booting recent livecd images

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone else was able to boot ISOs generated by
livecd-creator recently?  First off, when I try to use qemu-kvm, I get
random hangs during the bootup process (in different places; last message
might be SCSI or TCP congestion algorithm, etc).

So, I use "qemu".  The images I'm generating fail to find the root
filesystem (screenshot attached).

I'm building them on Fedora 7, git head livecd-tools.  This used to work, so
something regressed recently, and I have no idea what =)  How would one go
about debugging this?

Hi,
I also have the same problem. It seems that the ATA modules are not 
included in the image, so the CD device doesn't gets created. Reverting 
changes from commit 098ffcd52ea37d10e91265f9909380367dbf6d83 solves the 
problem for me.

After looking at mayflower code, I think there is a bug. I've not tryed 
yet, but the attached patch should fix mayflower to add the ATA modules.

If you're running git HEAD, are you running git HEAD mayflower (ie, have
it installed in /usr/lib/livecd-tools) as well?

Indeed, that was the problem, thanks.  This seemed like it was just waiting
to bite other unaware contributors (periodic sudo cp mayflower
/usr/lib/livecd-creator is not obvious), so patch in my git repository, and
also attached.

I'm still having the same problem. I already verified that it's using 
git HEAD mayflower. What's really making it fail, is mayflower trying to 
read modules.block when it doesn't exists. I can't find neither in my 
system nor in Live CD modules directory.

It only works specifying all ATA modules in mayflower.conf or modifying 
mayflower to read modules.libata instead.

I don't understand why it fails in my system (also Fedora 7 with latest 
livecd-tools from git) if it's working for you. I'm doing something wrong?

*sigh*  The file changed between Fedora 7 and now.  Just pushed a change
that should work for F7 as well.

Pushed a patch that's along the same lines, but different implementation
just now
