Introducing myself
by Aivar Annamaa
Hi!
I'm a CS teaching assistant from University of Tartu, Estonia. I recently submitted my dearest project Thonny (Python IDE for beginners, http://thonny.org) into Fedora repository. Miro Hrončok, who helped me with this, suggested me to write an introduction to Thonny for Fedora Magazine. So here I am, eager to write a pitch and receive your input :)
best regards,
Aivar

V-rep on Fedora - Introduction
by Jogender Kvs
Hi,
I would like to write the following article:
Summary: Getting started with V-rep Robotic Simulator in Fedora
Description: This article aims at giving the reader an overview of how to
get started with V-rep Simulator on Fedora.
>> The step-to-step guide to installing V-rep.
I plan to write a second article following this that would explain about
its features,
dependencies, etc and working with V-rep using any language on fedora
>> Features, and dependencies of V-rep
>> Working with V-rep
I have drafted my idea here[1]. Please review the same.

[PITCH] Tell us your 2017 Year in Review
by Justin W. Flory
Hi all,
I created a new draft for an article I would like to schedule in the
next week, "Tell us your 2017 Year in Review". I revived this from
writing about two years ago instead of starting fresh, and I appreciate
an editorial pass too.
A draft is available here:
https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=19709&preview=1&_ppp=369e64d057
It takes from this post here:
https://fedoramagazine.org/what-is-a-fedora-year-in-review/
Even though it is more "community-facing", my intent is to reach a wider
audience (for example, in 2015, we had a team I never knew existed write
an article and they attributed hearing about the opportunity from the
Magazine post).
Is it possible to schedule this in the next week? The CommBlog companion
article publishes on Monday, so any time after then is fine. Thanks!
[[ Also, side note, it would be super cool to get a Year in Review from
the Magazine too, after our 3 million record breaker!! ]]

Cheers,
Justin W. Flory

Pitch: schedule tasks using "at" on Fedora
by Shivkumar Ople
Summary: schedule tasks for later execution (ex: run a script) using at command.
Description: being able to schedule a task for later execution, during the administration of a system is a crucial ability: to run a particular script or
schedule any other job.
Unlike cron, with 'at', we are able to execute a command or script.
After reading this article, reader will be able to install at, configure, execute and manage the scheduled jobs.
